About

Jake Skeen is an IFMGA mountain guide who specializes in creating small group mountain adventures that cater to your goals and dreams. He is based in Wyoming’s Teton Range. Jake offers skiing and climbing trips both domestically and internationally. Dates for each trip are selected based off the location and activity.

Custom dates and trips are also available. Jake will happily put together skiing and climbing trips that aren’t advertised on this website. Drop a message here to explore this possibility.

Additionally, Jake offers more formal educational experiences in the mountains. These include: avalanche courses, glacier travel and crevasse rescue training, ski mountaineering rope systems training, rock rescue training, and intro to trad/multi pitch climbing courses. Most of these are set up on a custom basis - so reach out if you don’t see what you’re looking for.

Jake always abides by local permitting regulations and best practices. This means that certain trip offerings will be channeled through a local concessionaire that has operating permits. In this case, all trip related communications and guiding services will still be run by Jake.

The ratio for ski trips max out at 4 guests to 1 guide. For multi pitch climbing trips and technical ski mountaineering, Jake’s maximum ratio is 2:1. Additional guides can be brought on for larger trips.
